Edwin Flagship Store — 2 Ossington Avenue, Toronto

Edwin Toronto is the brand’s first and only retail location in North America, located at 2 Ossington Avenue, Toronto.

After distributing its collections through both independent and major retailers, Edwin North America established this approximately 1,000-square-foot space in Toronto, marking its first physical presence on the continent. Founded in 1947, the brand has built its reputation as a pioneer, reinterpreting post–World War II Americana through a Japanese perspective and becoming one of the first global denim brands from Japan. Its name is an anagram of the word “denim.”

The store highlights the brand’s Japanese denim craftsmanship, complemented by a curated selection of garments with a strong focus on quality materials, including the use of organic fibers.

Visitors can also explore a publication that traces the brand’s 76-year history, featuring iconic campaigns with figures such as Brad Pitt and Mickey Rourke, along with an original Edwin soundtrack experience.

The goal of this location is to recreate the atmosphere of Edwin’s Tokyo stores, offering an immersive experience true to the brand’s identity without needing to travel to Japan. The store also features a trade-in program, allowing customers to bring in vintage Edwin denim in exchange for a discount on a new pair.
